Room by room
Walled on every side, mosaic from end to end, with a raised jacuzzi step at the shallow end and loungers that stay in the sun all afternoon. No overlooking neighbours, no shared gate, no towel on a sunbed at 7am to reserve it.
A proper built brick barbecue with its own sink and prep counters, and a table for eight a few steps away. The market is four minutes on foot, which is how most groups end up eating here rather than going out.
One island with a gas hob and extractor, a second run of counter along the wall, an oven, a dishwasher, and a breakfast bar for the people who are only there to talk. Cooking for fourteen stops being a chore.
Amalfi, Positano, Vierti, Capri, Ischia, Nápoles and Pompei — named after the coast they were decorated after, and no two are alike. Every one has air conditioning, its own TV and a bathroom that goes with it. Some have a private balcony; the largest has its own lounge and sofa.
The pool lights come on, the candles go in the water, the children go up to bed, and the adults stay outside. This is the part guests write about afterwards.
